The Bloomer Blackhawks boys basketball team hosted the Stanley-Boyd Orioles on Tuesday, Dec. 21. The Blackhawks took a three point lead, 23-20, into the locker room at the half but the ball just wouldn’t drop through the hoop during the second half for Bloomer. At the end of the game Stanley-Boyd came out on top 52-36.

The Blackhawks sunk 11 fieldgoals, including a 3-pointer, during the first half on Tuesday night, but only four, again with one 3-pointer, in the second half. They made four out of five free throws, all in the second half. 

Against the Orioles on Tuesday, Bloomer sophomore Domanyck Schwarzenberger was the leading scorer with 11 points including a 3-pointer and four free throws. Senior Marcus Harelstad had six points, seniors Connor Crane, Cael Iverson and Jack Strand and junior Evan Rogge each scored four points and sophomore Jake Bleskacek sunk a 3-pointer for Bloomer to round out the scoring.

Stanley-Boyd had two players in double digits on Tuesday. Carsen Hause scored 20 points and Brady Potaczek scored 12.

On Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, the Blackhawks travel to McDonell Central Catholic and on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, they host Cadott.
