The Bloomer Blackhawks boys basketball team beat the Barron Bears on Thursday, Dec. 12 at home in their game last week.

The Blackhawks beat the Bears 50-28, outscoring Barron 31-15 in the second half.

Junior Charlie Herrick lead both teams in scoring with 14 points, shooting four for seven 2-pointers and two for three 3-point baskets. Junior Dalton Cook scored 11 points and senior Carter Rubenzer also hit double digits with 10 points. Carter LaLiberty and Gabe Amundson each had seven points for Barron.

Bloomer (2-0, 3-0) traveled to Cameron (2-1, 3-1) on Tuesday, Dec. 17 to take on the Comets in their first year in the Heart O’ North conference. Then on Friday, Dec. 20, the Blackhawks take on the Northwestern Tigers (1-1, 2-3) at home.
