Bloomer/Colfax Raptors wrestler Bowen Rothbauer traveled to the WIAA Division 2 State Individual Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Adams-Friendship High School.

Rothbauer, wrestling at 152 pounds, pinned his first opponent, Adam Sauer of Lomira, in 5:38 in the quarter finals. Moving on to the semifinals, Rothbauer went up against Bailey Thelen of Two Rivers. Thelen beat rothbauer in a 7-3 decision. Thelen went on to place second in the tournament.

In the consolation semi-finals Rothbauer won by a 7-2 decision over Ben Bredael of Freedom, advancing him to the third place match. In the third place match Rothbauer faced Paton Kostka of Regis/Altoona for the third time in as many weeks. In a very tight match, Kostka emerged the winner in a 1-0 decision over Rothbauer.
