The Bloomer Equestrian team completed their season on a blustery snowy day last Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Double H indoor arena in Mondovi, Wis., and were thankful for it being an indoor event.

The team consisting of Emma Rothbauer, Brynn Zwiefelhofer, Emily LaGesse, Nura Ferrer, Lilly Kuske, Jessica LaGesse, Frederick Blair, Lauren Ruff, Dylan Michels, Addie McCracken, Illa Nelson and Gracie Culver competed in over 60 events both English and western showmanship and halter classes along with gaming against Chippewa and Menomonie as a Class A team.

The team did a great job with placements in each event but fell short of earning enough points to qualify for the state competition in Madison on Oct. 25-27.

This year’s team was a young team and used this year as a building year as many of them were first time riders or had not been riding long and hope to come back stronger next year with an even bigger team. If your son or daughter is possibly interested in joining the Bloomer Equestrian team next year or interested in riding lessons please contact coaches Amanda Kuske, Patty Hladilek or Gail Huse for more information. We hope to get a jump start on the season by having practices start late summer. Come join the fun!
