Phoenix gymnasts came rocked and ready for the Antigo Valentines Invite held at Antigo High School Saturday, Jan. 28. Fourteen out of the 20 team members competed at this meet (a couple had to compete in the Rope Jump Finals.)

In the Xcel Division, Team Silver, consisting of Lauren Allison, Gracie Culver, Kelsie Koehler, Kendra McElroy, Jessica LaGesse and Lydia Nayes, brought home first place as a team.

Team Gold, consisting of Isabel Rubenzer, Maya Larson, Jazmin Wensel and Taylor Revoir, also took the top as a team. The Platinum team, consisting of Lauren Ruff and Cicely Kiecker, weren’t able to compete as a team as they did not meet the three-team member requirement.

This competition saw personal bests for some of the gymnasts and many received first place on individual apparatuses as well as individual all-around (a combination of scores from all four events) finishes.
