Henry G. Verkuilen, age 62, of Camp Douglas, Wis. and formerly of Belleville, Mich. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at his home. He was born on July 22, 1959, to Vernon and Yvonne (Rammer) Verkuilen in Appleton, Wis.  He was united in marriage to Laura Sykora on May 27, 1989 in Bloomer, Wis., where they both grew up.   Henry was a Principal Analyst with the major accounts billing team for many years for Detroit Edison in Michigan, as well as a member of the American Society of Fine Woodworkers.   He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and coworkers.    

He is survived by his wife: Laura Verkuilen of Camp Douglas; sisters: Sara (John) Caron of Bloomer, Ginny (Dean) Marquart of DeForest, Wis. and Polly (Al) Jacobson of Milton, Wis. along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Yvonne.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah. Burial will be held at a later date.  Family and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Queen of Apostles Education Endowment Fund.  The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be offered at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
