Twilia Hartung, age 80, of Lamberton, Minn., died on January 1, 2020, in Marshall, Minn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Tracy, Minn. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 at the church.
Interment will be at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Walnut Grove, Minn.

Twilia “Terri” Hartung was born May 5, 1939 to Hildegard (Frentz) and Walter Klatt in Watertown, S.D. They relocated when she was a child to western Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Robert Goettl. Terri enjoyed living in Stuttgart, Germany for a few years when Robert was stationed there in the U.S. Army. She was later married to Carl Hartung. The couple traveled the country living in various states. They drove semi together, taking turns resting and driving. In the 1980’s they owned and managed various businesses including the Grove Apartments in Walnut Grove, and the motel in Tracy, Minn. Terri was a LPN and worked in the Tracy, Minn. area until retiring in the late 1990’s. She was cherished by her granddaughters serving as their shoulder to cry on, confidant, and source of wisdom. She spoiled them with gifts, treats and love.
She is survived by her four granddaughters, Tonie (Rob) Rende, Kayla (Charlie) Pineda, Elizabeth Ramirez (Craig Polkow), and Rebecca Breashears (Gregory Calhoun); 5 great grandkids; daughter, Tammy Goettl; sisters, Illa “June” Evans, Lila Bischel, and Stena Susajilo (Todd Wilson); brothers, Fred (Marcie), Marlowe, Milo, and Julius Klatt; and numerous nieces and nephews. Terri was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda; husband Carl; and brothers, Bob, Ken, and Marvin Klatt.
