Thomas H. Hughes, age 72, passed away at Menomonie Heath Care on November 29, 2021. He was born on March 29, 1949 to Harold “Bud”and Lucy (Blum) Hughes. Tommy was a light to all that knew him. He always had a quick “Hello” and smile for anyone he would see. He had a powerful handshake that would greet you at every visit. Tommy loved music by Johnny Cash and would sing along any time it was played. His other love was the Green Bay Packers, You could find him cheering them on every time they played. A highlight for Tommy was visiting Lambeau Field a few years ago. He was in his glory that day. So, to honor Tom, please wear Packer gear to his funeral service. A huge thankyou goes out to Aurora Health in Menomonie where he lived. Tommy will be missed especially by his friend, Carol. Fly high, Tommy...on Eagle’s Wings!
Tommy loved his siblings who survived him: Suszanne (Ron) Dodge of Dallas, Wis., Judith Schindler of Sand Creek, Donald (Kris) Hughes of Chippewa Falls, Rodney (Lynn) Hughes of Green Bay, Wis. and Mary Beth (Keith) Hutchinson of Chippewa Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bud and Lucy Hughes; brother-in-law: Norman Schindler.
Funeral Services will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. with Deacon Richard Kostner officiating with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
