Cherie K. Pooler, 78, of Milton, Wis., passed away early on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Oak Park Place in Madison, Wis. Cherie was born on February 2, 1941 in New Auburn, Wis., to the late Clifford and Lorraine (Hoefert) Nyhagen. She graduated in 1959 from New Auburn High School. On August 28, 1959, Cherie married David Pooler in Sand Creek, Wis. Cherie was very artistic and loved painting, doing ceramics, and was a creative writer. She was also a wonderful cook.
Cherie is survived by her 2 children: Deanna Pooler of Madison, Wis., Todd Pooler of Menomonie, Wis.; granddaughter: Cydney Pooler of Milwaukee, Wis.; brother: Allen (Linda) Nyhagen of New Auburn, Wis.; sister: Judy (Eugene) Gravunder of Pine River, Wis.; and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Pooler and 3 siblings.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Milton with Rev. Larry Schwanke officiating. Burial followed at Milton Junction Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the services. Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton are assisting the family with arrangements.
