School District of Bloomer superintendent Brian Misfeldt introduced the new staff members of the district in a press release Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Caitlyn Pelissero – First Grade

Caitlyn Pelissero is a new first grade teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Bessemer, MI and received her undergraduate degree from UW-Eau Claire in both elementary and special education. She was a student teacher at the elementary school in the fall of 2020 and was a substitute teacher for the district this past spring. Caitlyn enjoys crafting, playing sports, and spending time with her family at their cottage in Michigan. 

Stacy Rogge – 4K Aide

Stacy Rogge is a new 4K Aide in the Elementary School. She grew up in Fall Creek, WI where she was a Special Educational Aide for the last 7 years at the Fall Creek Elementary School. She moved to Bloomer 2 years ago where she lives with her husband, 2 children, and 3 step-children. Stacy enjoys being outdoors, doing projects, and spending time with her family.

Amy Robin – Second Grade

Amy Robin is a new second grade teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Chisago Lakes, MN and received her Bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire in Elementary Education in 2020. She did her student teaching at Southview Elementary in Chippewa Falls and then was a long term substitute in second grade for the remainder of the school year. Amy enjoys reading, kayaking and spending time at her cabin in Northome, Minnesota.

Jolene York – Interventionist BES/BMS

Jolene York is a new interventionist at the elementary/middle school. She grew up in New Lisbon, WI and completed her undergraduate degree from UW-Eau Claire in elementary education and her master’s degree from Stevens Point in environmental education. For the last 23 years she has taught a combination of science, literacy and social studies at the middle school. She lives in Chippewa Falls . Jolene enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and nature photography. 

Kristian Koenig – Seventh Grade Math

Kristian Koenig is a new seventh grade math teacher at the middle school. He grew up in Cary, IL and received his Bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in Secondary Mathematics Education in 2018. Kristian moved from Richland Center, WI where he taught 8th grade math for the previous two years. Kristian currently lives in Eau Claire and enjoys spending time playing sports, going rock climbing, backpacking, fly fishing, and mountain biking.

Lauryn Peterson – Third Grade

Lauryn Peterson is a new third grade teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire in Elementary Education this past spring. Lauryn completed her student teaching in Chippewa Falls and Somerset, WI. She was a reading and math tutor and also a youth development specialist and summer school teacher at the Boys and Girls Club in Eau Claire. She enjoys being outdoors hiking and camping, baking cupcakes, and spending time with friends and family. 

Kelly Czekalski – Kindergarten

Kelly Czekalski is a new kindergarten teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Greenwood, Wis., and attended UW-Stout, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been a substitute teacher for the district since 2014. She also taught 4K and 2nd grade at St. Paul’s Catholic School. Kelly enjoys traveling, camping, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Becky Myers – Speech-Language Pathologist BES

Becky Myers is a new Speech-Language Pathologist at the elementary school. She grew up in Moquah, Wisconsin (near Ashland) and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from UW-Eau Claire. She worked for the School District of New Auburn for the last 12 years. Becky lives near Bloomer with her husband, Bryan, and two children, Reagan and Reid. Becky enjoys spending time with her family and friends, DIY projects, traveling, gardening, and being outdoors.

Danielle Greene – Fifth Grade English Language Arts

Danielle Greene is the new fifth grade English Language Arts teacher at the middle school. She grew up in New Auburn, Wis. Danielle earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. She spent the last year as a substitute teacher in area schools. Danielle lives with her husband, and two pets in Chippewa Falls. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and camping. 

Michael Feiten – Sixth Grade Math

Michael Feiten is the new sixth grade math teacher at the middle school. He grew up in Bloomer, WI and completed his bachelor’s degree from UW-Stevens Point in both elementary and special education. For the last seven years he has taught at the elementary level in Stevens Point, WI. Michael and his wife are currently relocating back to the area. Michael enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Jenna Legler – Special Education BHS

Jenna Legler is the new high school special education teacher. She grew up in Holmen, WI and received her bachelor’s degree in both elementary education and special education with a certificate in emotional behavioral disorders (EBD). She recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Jenna enjoys walking her dog, DIY projects, and spending time with friends and family.

Erin Putz – Second Grade

Erin Putz is a new second grade teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Fountain City, WI and received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from UW-River Falls. She has been a substitute teacher in the River Falls and New Richmond schools since graduating in 2019. Erin recently moved to Eau Claire and enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, camping, and spending time with family. 

Stephanie Phillips – Phy. Ed. BHS

Stephanie Phillips is the new physical education teacher at the high school. She grew up in Bloomer and received her bachelor’s degree in physical education and health from UW-River Falls. She has been teaching at St. Paul’s Catholic school for the last 13 years. Stephanie lives in Bloomer with her husband, Rob, and three children, Jace, Dylynn, and Jordy. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching and playing volleyball, doing crafts, and being outdoors. 

Beth Wilcek – Third Grade

Beth Wilcek is a new third grade teacher at the elementary school. She grew up in Stillwater, MN and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Beth completed her student teaching in a first grade class in Bloomer, and in an 

Early Childhood class in Black River Falls. She enjoys running with friends, crocheting, camping and spending time with family and friends. 

Courtney Erickson – Special Education Aide BHS

Courtney Erickson is a new Special Education Aide at our High School. She grew up in Baudette, MN, graduated from Webster High School and received her Associates Degree in Lake Elmo, MN. She has been working with children since 2009 and has been subbing at Bloomer Schools for the last 5 years. She enjoys spending time with her Fiancé Ryan and running crazy with her three boys Cayden (11), Kooper (8) and Riggs (1).

Malia Clements – School Counselor BHS

Malia Clements is the new School Counselor at the high school. She grew up in Bloomer and went to college at Winona State University and then UW-Stout to earn her Master’s Degree in School Counseling, and is currently finishing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Malia has been a School Counselor for Regis Catholic Schools for the past eleven years. She and her husband, Josh, have two boys, Colt and Huck. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling, boating/swimming, biking and coaching her sons in sports. 

Tammy Fanetti – Special Education Aide BMS

Tammy Fanetti is a new Special Education Aide at the middle school. She grew up in Bloomer and has lived here the majority of her life. She previously owned Rainbow Kidz childcare center and retired from there last fall. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling when she can.

Kayla Gunderson – Instructional Aide BES

Kayla Gunderson is a new Instructional Aide at the elementary school. Her family is from Bloomer and she moved back in 2005. She has been subbing at the Bloomer School District for the last four years. She and her fiancé, Ronnie, have three children, Harper (8), Havyn (5) and Henry (2). She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her kids in sports and traveling.
