School District of Bloomer superintendent Brian Misfeldt introduced the new staff members of the district in a press release Wednesday, Aug. 26. There are twelve new faces for the 2020-21 school year.
Chloe Zeman - School Psychologist
Chloe Zeman is joining the School District of Bloomer as a School Psychologist. Chloe is originally from Bloomer and is happy to be back to serve her alma mater after working two years as a school psychologist in the Cornell School District. She attended UW–La Crosse to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then went on to attend UW–Stout and received her Master’s degree in School Psychology. In her free time, Chloe enjoys being active, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and Golden Retriever, Jax.
Racheal Krug - Agriculture, BMS & BHS
Racheal Krug is elated to be teaching Agriculture at both the Bloomer Middle School and the High School. Racheal found her passion for agriculture while growing up in Gilman, Wis., raising pigs and helping out on the family pheasant farm. She attended UW–River Falls where she majored in Agricultural Education and minored in Animal Science. This last fall she was an Agricultural Education Intern in the Pardeeville School District. In her spare time Racheal can be found camping, crafting, and spending time with her family.
Leah Collis - Sign Language Interpreter
Leah Collis is a new addition to the School District of Bloomer as a Sign Language Interpreter. Leah grew up with a deaf sibling and has an immense passion for the deaf culture. Leah has been interpreting for over seven years and is striving to earn her National Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. Leah graduated from Northcentral Technical College with an Associate Degree in Educational Interpreting for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Leah loves gardening, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors with her Black Lab Bailey. Leah is also a big sports fan of the Badgers, Brewers and Packers.
Jocelyn Dietsche - Choral Music Director, BMS & BHS
Jocelyn Dietsche is the Choral Music Director at Bloomer Middle/High School. She is excited to bring her passion for music and teaching to serve the students, families and community in Bloomer. She was born and raised in the area attending Bloomer Elementary and graduating from neighboring Colfax. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Irvine, Calif. She has previously taught in California, Minnesota and most recently Barron prior to joining the Bloomer team. In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys the outdoors, horses, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Shaina Fike - BMS Special Education
Shaina Fike is so excited to join Bloomer Middle School as one of the new Special Education Teachers. She recently graduated from UW–Eau Claire and is looking forward to the start of the school year and her first “official” teaching job. Shaina grew up in Crystal Lake, Ill., (a northwest suburb of Chicago) and loves the community that small- town Wisconsin brings. In her free time, Shaina enjoys being active outside, baking (she has a big sweet tooth), singing along to musicals, and spending time with her family, friends, and pet cat, Eddie!
Jennifer Fried - Kindergarten
Jennifer Fried is so excited to join Bloomer Elementary School’s kindergarten team. She is originally from Hartland, Wis., and attended UW–Whitewater where she studied Early Childhood Education. Last year, she was a Special Education teacher in Eagle, Wis., and just recently moved to the Chippewa Falls area. In her spare time, Jennifer can be found watching movies, doing puzzles, and playing games with her family.
Brent Bundgaard - 5th Grade Science
Brent Bundgaard is joining the fifth grade team and will be teaching science. He is originally from Osceola, Wis., where he taught fifth grade previously. He graduated from UW–Eau Claire in the spring of 2019. He recently got engaged and is hoping to stay in the Eau Claire area. In his spare time, he loves to fish, read, hike and play basically any sport he can.
James Roesler - Special Education Teacher & Case Manager, BMS & BHS
James Roesler will be joining Bloomer Middle and High School this fall to serve as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager. James grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wis., and attended UW–Eau Claire with an emphasis in intellectual and learning disability education. For the last five years, James has been living in Ellsworth, Wis., where he taught at Somerset and Prescott School Districts. Over the summer, James, his wife, two children and two dogs moved back to Chippewa Falls to be closer to family and friends. James enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time outside with his family in his free time. He is also a huge sports fan (GPG!). James is very excited to join the BMS and BHS teams and is looking forward to a fantastic year.
Nicole Lang - First Grade
Nicole Lang is excited to be joining the Bloomer Elementary School’s first grade team. Nicole was born and raised in Bloomer. She attended UW–LaCrosse where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence with a minor in English. Prior to coming to Bloomer, Nicole has taught fourth grade and second grade for the Gilman School District and first grade and second grade for the Medford Area Public School District. In her free time Nicole enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and two children, Brayden and Sydney.
Jami Rubenzer - Elementary Secretary
Jami Rubenzer is excited to be joining the School District of Bloomer as the Elementary Secretary. She grew up in Cadott, Wis., and graduated from UW–Green Bay majoring in Psychology and Human Development. Jami worked at Chippewa Valley Technical College as a Student Support Assistant for the past 12 years. She lives in Bloomer with her husband and four kids. Jami is a huge sports fan and in her free time, also enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Nicole Bathke - Special Education Aide, BMS
Nicole Bathke is excited to be joining the Bloomer Middle School as a Special Education Aide. She was born and raised in Bloomer. Nicole was a sub in the Bloomer School District last year and is delighted to be hired full time this fall. In her free time she enjoys golfing, spending time at her family cabin in Birchwood and shopping.
Gay Gilbertson - 5th Grade Band, 5th & 6th Music
Gay Gilbertson will be joining the Bloomer MS staff as the fifth grade band teacher and fifth and sixth grade general music teacher. Retired from the Osseo-Fairchild Schools in June after twenty years, Gay is happy to continue as a part-time teacher in the Bloomer Schools. Gay met her husband Paul at UW–EC, who is also a retired vocal music teacher and they live in Eau Claire. They have three adult sons, and one 4-year-old grandson. Gay enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves watching sports of all kinds and participating in Eau Claire theater pit orchestras and community bands.
