Come watch your friends ride real live donkeys. The Bloomer Fire Department/EMTs, Bloomer schools, Bloomer Baptist Church, and Bloomer FFA have formed teams for your entertainment and the benefit of Bloomer.

Donkey Basketball is coming to Bloomer High School this Friday night. The Bloomer Baptist Church and the Bloomer FFA are hosting the event as a benefit for the DeWayne Fossum family. DeWayne and Julia Fossum and their three children lost absolutely everything in a house fire late this winter and on top of that DeWayne is still recovering from recent cancer surgery. Both DeWayne and Julia work for the Bloomer School District and DeWayne has been FFA adviser for many years.

On Friday night, the first 125 kids, 12 and under, can ride a donkey for FREE. They must be accompanied by adult.

Tickets for Donkey Basketball are available at the schools or Shadick’s Price Rite for only $7, or you can get them at the door for $10.

Come join the fun on Friday, May 3, at 7 p.m., in the Bloomer High School gymnasium.
