Not long before the restrictions on the size of gatherings because of the COVID-19 outbreak the board of the Bloomer Community Lake Association decided to make all meetings open to the public beginning in March. Unfortunately the Lake Association board meetings will have to remain closed and may be canceled until the restrictions on size of gatherings are lifted.

In a statement released last week the Lake Association board said, “In an ongoing effort to keep the community informed on all items related to Lake Como and the Lake Association we would like to invite anyone to come visit us during our regularly scheduled monthly meetings. After roll call of board members we will open the floor to public input, suggestions or questions relating to our combined interest in keeping Lake Como beautiful.”

The meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month and are held at the Bloomer Moose Lodge. The meetings usually address the weed harvesting progress, membership drives and fundraising conversations.

The next meeting of the Lake Association is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22. If you cannot attend but have suggestions or questions feel free to contact any of the Lake Association board members—Ryan Stolt, Brad Coubal, Gary Lueck, Mike Randall, Gretchen Paape, Tiffany O’Neil, Mary Rufledt, Mike Shipman and John Nielsen.
