New Auburn’s annual Jamboree Days kicks off Thursday, July 25and runs through Sunday, July 28.
The American Legion Post 267 will present the Colors to start the 2019 celebration at 5:30 p.m. The T-Ball game starts at 6 p.m., followed by the P-Ball game.
Community-wide thrift sales open at 7 a.m. on Friday, and shoppers and others can stop at the food stand at the Security Bank for lunch between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be a Farmer’s Market at the Park Street Shelter starting at 3 p.m.
The beer garden opens at 6 p.m., and softball tournament begins at 7 p.m. The JFT Party Band will play from 7–11 p.m.
On Saturday, the New Auburn Park Committee’s pancake breakfast serves from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the large pavilion. At 8 a.m., the softball tournament resumes and the New Auburn Heart Walk begins. Sign up for the heart walk is at the Park Street (small) pavilion. At 9 a.m., the beer garden opens, the volleyball tournament begins, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament starts and the Medallion Hunt takes place. The FFA Alumni are also holding a Money Hunt at 11 a.m. And there will be a Family Carnival with inflatables, games and prizes (wristbands will be available).
The Water Obstacles Couse, courtesy of the New Auburn Fire Department, starts at 1 p.m.
Live music Saturday is provided by “Ever Rd.” from 7–11 p.m.
The softball and volleyball tournaments resume Sunday at 9 a.m. and the beer garden opens.
Starting at 11 a.m. and serving until 2 p.m. is the charcoal chicken dinner, sponsored by Bethel Lutheran Church.
Parade entries start lining up at the school at 11:30 a.m., and the parade starts at noon.
From 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. music will be provided by “Everybody is a Star” DJ.
