Due to public health concerns and government recommendations surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) the following Bloomer community events, and businesses have been closed, canceled, or rescheduled.
Red Cross Bloodmobile Venue Change
The spring Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held at the Bloomer Moose Lodge, 1890 9th Ave., on Thursday, March 26, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. The Bloodmobile was previously going to be held at St. Paul’s Catholic School, but the venue and time has since been changed.
The coronavirus does not pose any known risk to blood donors during the donation process or from attending blood drives. Blood donors are needed now more than ever!!
Community Event Cancellations
The Annual Bloomer Chamber Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for April 11, has been canceled.
The Bloomer Chamber Senior Honors Night, previously scheduled for April 29, has been canceled – may be rescheduled.
The Bloomer Rod and Gun Club has postponed their Deer Show, 3-D Shoot, and Spring Fling. Their regular monthly meeting has been canceled.
The Ladies Benefit Club Historical Display originally intended to be held March 28 has been canceled.
St. Jude’s Catholic Church of New Auburn has canceled their annual thrift sale previously intended to be held in April.
The Bloomer American Legion Post 295 meeting scheduled for April 2 has been canceled.
The Bloomer American Legion Auxiliary meeting scheduled for April 2 has been canceled.
The Bloomer High School Musical, “Matilda,” previously scheduled for performances the end of March, has been canceled until further notice.
The Dunn County Barbershoppers Annual Harmony Show, “Let’s Get Away!,” originally scheduled for April 4, has been postponed to a later date. That date has yet to be determined.
The Ladies Night Out, an annual event that raises money for Junior Achievement, scheduled for April 16, has been canceled with intent to reschedule.
The Bloomer Moose Friday Fish Fry will be switching to carryout only. And the Moose’s Progressive Bingo will be suspended until further notice.

Anderson Accounting is stopping all in person interviews. However, they will still be doing business. Taxes may be dropped off during office hours, or left in drop box.
Adventure North Realty has closed their office, agents will remain available by phone.
American Family Insurance has closed their office, but will still be taking calls and emails during regular business hours.
Apex Insurance has closed their office, but will still be taking calls and emails during regular business hours.
Associated Bank has closed their lobby, their drive-thru will remain open.
Back 40 has switched to carryout service only.
Billy’s Grill and Catering has gone to take out and delivery only.
Bloomer City Hall has closed their office.
The Bloomer Moose Friday Fish Fry has switched to carryout only.
The Bloomer Police Department has closed their lobby.
The Bloomer/New Auburn Area Food Pantry has temporarily switched to drive-through service only.
Bloomer Pub has switched to curbside to-go pickup only.
Bohemian Ovens has switched to delivery or to-go pickup only.

Dairy State Bank will keep their lobbies open for those who absolutely need to come in, but requests it customers use the drive-thru or online banking instead.
Dollar General has changed the first hour of each day to be for Senior Citizens only.

Herman Eye Care has rescheduled appointments for two weeks, they will remain available by phone and email. They WILL be available in the event of an ocular emergency.

Northwestern Bank has closed the lobbies of all branches until further notice, Drive-Throughs, Walk Up Windows, ATMs and Night Deposits will remain open at all of our locations.

Royal Credit Union has announced they will be closing lobbies until further notice.
Security Bank has closed their lobby, use night deposit box, call in for questions and lending.

Church Event And Service Cancellations
All public Masses in the Diocese of La Crosse will be canceled beginning on March 17, 2020. Live and prerecorded Sunday Mass is available via diolc.org, the diocesan YouTube channel, Facebook, and televised on the following channels: Eau Claire, Channel 18, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
St. Paul’s Catholic School’s 8th grade class bingo party previously scheduled for Sunday, March 29 has also been canceled.
Until further notice, all services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church have been suspended. They will live-stream services on their Facebook page, Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., and Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
St. John's Lutheran Church has suspended all services and events until further notice.
Until further notice, Sunday morning services at Bloomer Baptist Church will go to a live stream recording to Facebook and YouTube only format. Link and instructions will be at bloomerbaptistchurch.com.
All other Bloomer Baptist Church events and activities have been canceled.
