The Bloomer Police Commission decided, during a closed session at its Feb. 27 meeting, to hold a formal hearing on a complaint filed by Dean Gullickson.
The hearing date has been changed to Tuesday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bloomer City Hall. Originally the hearing had been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 21.
A full agenda for the March 26 meeting and hearing appears on page A3 of this edition of the Bloomer Advance.
During public comments at the police commission’s Feb. 20 meeting, Dean Gullickson addressed the board to explain the reasoning for the need to file a formal complaint on the Bloomer Chief of Police Jared Zwiefelhofer. Gullickson alleged that Zwiefelhofer had engaged in unethical behavior and misconduct in office during a Wisconsin Department Of Natural Resources investigation. Gullickson also expressed the desire to have a hearing of the facts dealing with the incident. Later in the meeting police commission chairman Peter Gehring informed the commission that Gullickson had issued a formal complaint to him in person.
