Local skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living provider Dove Healthcare recently announced the expansion of their state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program to Bloomer. Dove Healthcare hosts multiple classes every year in various communities, and in 2019, graduated 250 certified nursing assistants (CNA) from their classroom and clinical sites.

The first 75-hour CNA course in Bloomer will take place Monday–Wednesday, Aug. 24 – Sept. 16 from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Dove Healthcare – Bloomer on Duncan Road. Class will not be held on Labor Day. There are limited seats, and applicants age 16 and older are invited to complete the online application at dovehealthcare.com/cnaclass.

“Dove Healthcare is proud to be a community partner and offer this course to help expand the healthcare workforce. Whether our students work for us or another area employer, healthcare consumers will benefit and that’s what’s most important,” commented Dove Healthcare – Bloomer Administrator Joe Muench.

Students going on to work for Dove Healthcare complete an additional 16 hours of hands-on training upon hire. They are also eligible for 100 percent reimbursement of the $475 class fee.

Muench added, “We encourage compassionate individuals with good communication skills, an eye for detail, and who thrive on multi-tasking and working with people of various abilities to consider becoming a certified nursing assistant. It may be the perfect fit and the start of a successful future in healthcare.”

CNA classes are also held year round in Rice Lake, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, and Osseo, and information can be found on the website dovehealthcare.com/cnaclass. For more information about the Bloomer class, call 715-568-6009 or email jmuench@dovehealthcare.com.
