A Barron High School graduate whose parents live near Ridgeland will be ordained as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. this Saturday, June 26, 2021, at a private Mass at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse. He attended St. John the Baptist Parish in Cooks Valley.
The results are in from the Tuesday, April 6, 2021 Spring Election. In the City of Bloomer the only local contested race was for the ward 4 alderperson position. Kevin Zwiefelhofer defeated Matt Meinen 51 to 36 to become the new ward 4 alderperson. Incumbent Jason Bauch did not seek re-election.
Sentencing is set for Tuesday, June 8, for a 21-year-old New Auburn man who pled guilty Friday, April 9, to one of two felony child pornography possession charges, according to Barron County Circuit Court records.
